CDL TRUCK DRIVING JOBS
CDL instructors home daily! Time for you to pass on your CDL experience and start teaching new CDL drivers to help keep America moving. CDL instructors will be providing instruction in the classroom and behind the wheel near Laurel, VA. Part-time or full-time positions are available!
Tired of driving on the road and want to take a break. This is a local CDL instructor position at Shippers Choice CDL training school. Instead of driving your tractor-trailer all day every day. We need instruction in the classroom and behind the wheel for hands-on driving instruction.

Must have CDL A license for min of 3 years
-Must have Clean CDL Driving record
-Must be able to pass a Federal Background check
-Must be able to speak well in front of groups.
CDL Job Duties
- prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
- establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities that pertains to CDL truck driver.
- prepare classroom and range for cdl driver.
- instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- use relevant technology to support CDL instruction
- observe and evaluate student’s performance and development
- provide appropriate feedback on CDL work
- encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
- maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development of CDL instruction
- update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies and CDL regulations
- prepare required CDL reports on students and activities
- manage student behavior in the classroom and on the range by enforcing rules and procedures
- maintain daily attendance sheet
- perform certain pastoral duties including but not limited to student support, counseling students with academic problems and
providing student encouragement - communicate necessary information regularly to students and colleagues regarding student progress and student needs
- keep up to date with developments in subject area
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
